If you're planning to run a timing scam, it helps to actually
get the timing right. If you're going to use an automated system to
write your messages, it's your own fault if it ruins any scams you might
plan to run. (Whatever happened to two actions that need to be
uninterrupted for a scam being sent in the /same message/, like everyone
else's timing scams are?)

The rules require dealors to audit the player or players
currently holding the most cards from the respective deck. At the time
I initiated the audit via my web-interface the player currently
holding the most Government cards was ais523. However, in the ~30
seconds it took my script to process and spit out the automated e-mail
to the list ais523 sent the above referenced message which appears to
have reached the list first.

Hmm....according to the list your message beat mine.

Admittedly, I botched this. I decided to split it into two mails so
that my system could automatically process the audit and save me the
hassle of entering it manually. I sent the first message and then
clicked to auto-generate the second message only a few seconds later.
However, apparently the server where I have my automation running was
just finishing a re-start cycle and (due to the way ASP.NET works) it
had to re-compile all my code and restart the application before the
mail processed.

That being the case, I'm not convinced that it invalidated the audit.

In addition, this did indeed
invalidate the audit as BobTHJ could have stopped his mail being sent
after my mail had already been received (say by interrupting the
compile); in fact, according to the headers my email was received at the
lists before BobTHJ's even claims to have been sent.

Judge Tiger's Arguments:

FALSE, deferring to ais523's arguments. The caller should work on eir timing.
